Mary Perry's Obituary
Mary Perry, 68, of Pilot Grove, slept into the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at her home. A visitation will be held from 12-7 pm on Friday, February 3, 2017, at H.T. May & Son Funeral Home in Boonville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 12 pm at Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville.
Mary Elaine Perry was born to the late Daniel & Viola Perry, September 17, 1948, at St. Joseph Hospital in Boonville, Mo. Mary entered into eternity on Saturday, January 28th, 2017.
She joined Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwater at an early age; she was baptized in the flowing waters of McDowell Quarry by Deacon Burns & Deacon Perry under the pastorage of Rev. George Ray.
Mary attended a one-room elementary school in Blackwater and graduated from Pilot Grove High School
Known as Nana to her grandkids, she was a short order cook on Sunday mornings for the grandkids breakfast and listening to gospel music. She was the undefeated champ of Ms. Pac-Man, she explored the many gravel roads of Blackwater, Arrow Rock, and surrounding areas and taking kids to Stuckey's for lunch. She had the best green thumb in Cooper County. Going to the casino was a favorite hobby (with her last two dollars)
Her employment included Kemper, Toastmaster, River Heights, Ashley Manor and retired from Kathy Manor in Pilot Grove as a Certified Med Technician.
Her outspoken spirit will be remembered by her girls, Stormie (Scottie), LeAnn, three grandchildren Terrance, J.W., Jonnesha, two great-grandchildren Brielle, Ah’Mir, her twin sister Martha Vincent (Bill), Sebelia Black (Cornelius) and George. One Uncle- Albert Pierce (Lillie) two Aunts – Virginia Lewis, Sallie Lewis three sister-in-laws Esther Perry, Viola Perry, and Maxine Perry. As well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends and acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and five sisters.
