Mary Ann E. Banks' Obituary
Mary Ann E. Banks, 88, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Sylvia Thompson Nursing Home to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was born in St. Louis, MO on December 29, 1937, to her parents James and Alice (Wilson) Suermann.
Mary Ann Worked as a caregiver in many facets, including nursing homes, home health, and state rehabilitation houses for those less fortunate.
She came to the knowledge of her need of Jesus Christ and obeyed Acts 2:38. She walked with the Lord with all her heart, serving in many capacities, including teaching Bible Studies and Sunday School. She also served as a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Dresden, MO when she was called home.
Mary Ann enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family (She was an awesome cook.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children Lynn (Eugene) Wentworth of Troy, AL, Stephen (Janice) Zingre of LaMonte, MO, Alan (Penny) Zingre of Troy, AL, and Renee (Jeff) Taylor of Boomer, NC. two brothers James Suermann of Flowery Branch, GA, and Francis Suermann of Hillsboro, MO.
She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was known as Nana and she wore that badge very proudly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons Michael Lee Zingre of St. Petersburg, FL and Donald William Zingre of Troy, AL.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters Beverly Weatherford and Kathy Chandler and one brother Raymond Suermann all of Warrensburg, MO.
Services will be held at a later date.
