Marvin Graves' Obituary
Marvin Graves 65, of Fayette, MO, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Boonville. Services will be broadcast on Facebook Live on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at https://www.facebook.com/htmayfuneralhome.
Marvin Lawrence Graves, was born on January 22, 1955, in Fayette, Missouri to Malessia E. Graves and Wesley Bennett. He was baptized at 2nd Baptist Church in Fayette, and graduated from Fayette High School in 1973. Marvin served in the Army from 1975 to 1977 after which he was discharged as an E-4/SP4 from Fort Dix, New Jersey with a good conduct medal. He attended State Fair Community College for two years. He married Ruth Ann Hein on December 3, 2010 in Pilot Grove.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Ruth Ann of Fayette, sisters Mary Ann Broadus of Fayette and Wilhemina Graves of Columbia, brothers Robert Graves of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Renaldo Graves of Fayette. He leaves children Santana Graves of Fayette, Marcey Graves, Waltina Graves and Tisha (Jeremy ) Barker all of California State, as well as stepchildren Jae (Jennifer) Kim of St. Louis, and Brian Marcum of Columbia, 10 grandchildren, two step grandchildren two aunts Georgia Harris and Doris Broadus both of Columbia, and numerous cousins and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brothers Melvin Graves, Chester Graves, Melvin Gibson, sisters Wilma Bush, Christine Smith, Felicia Jones, aunts Oneida Broadus, Matilda Tindell, Veta Lee Jones, Mary Cooper and Estelle Jones, uncle Jack Harris and his faithful dog Sparky.
Memorial contributions can be made to either Ellis Fischel Cancer Center or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
