I met Marvin Bozarth for the first time back in the 1980s when the ARA Convention was in Louisville. He was so nice to me then and that continued until I saw him last at an OTR Convention which was probably in Hawaii or Florida. He was a friend of my Father-in-Law, Eugene Beck of Beck’s Tire Intl in KC, MO. Marvin knew more about retreading and tires than anybody else that I have ever met. The amazing thing was that he treated everybody with such kindness and respect. My wife and I were fortunate enough to sit with him and his wife Donna for dinner at a recent OTR gathering and his ability to keep us all entertained with his soft demeanor will always stay with me. The past leaders of the industry are quickly leaving us. I am so glad that he was the leader for as long as he was. Rest in Peace Marvin and Thank You so much for all you did for so many.
