Lula Hardy's Obituary
Lula M. Hardy, 73, of Sedalia, MO; recently of Kansas City, MO, passed into eternity on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at KU Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 23, 2012 at 11 AM at Ward Memorial Baptist Church in Sedalia, MO. Visitation will be from 10-11AM at the church.
Lula was born on August 24, 1938 to Kidd Morgan and Rosie Brown in Benton of Yazoo County, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at a young age at Temple Love Baptist Church and baptized at Ward Memorial Baptist Church.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles E. Hardy Sr. and son, Mark Anthony Hardy.
She leaves to celebrate her new life: her two children, Charles E. Hardy Jr of Kansas City, MO and Brenda A. Hardy of Des Moines, IA. Two grandchildren, Kameron Chase Ross of Phoenix, AZ and Alexandra Rose Hardy of Kansas City, MO. Her adopted brothers and sisters, Rita Williams, Walterine Wright-Morris, Wilbert Wright, Thomas Wright, and Jack Wright. Her cousin Robert Rattler. Two sister-in-laws, Ida Hardy, Annie Ruth (Thomas) Stiff and brother-in-law, Leroy Hardy. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and a wealth of great friends.
Lula Mae Morgan Hardy was a faithful servant to God, family, and friends. She took great pride in providing and directing her family. She touched many lives during her journey on earth. Many called her Flimp, LuLu, and Lu. Since December 2004 she lived the rest of her life to the fullest with her son, Charles E. Hardy Jr ‘Lil Honey’ and her granddaughter, Alexandra R. Hardy ‘Lil Mama’. We praise her for a job well done!!!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the Children and Sunday school programs to Ward Memorial Baptist Church. 412 North Osage Avenue Sedalia, MO.
