Lucille G. Finley's Obituary
Lucille G. Finley,87, of Sedalia, slept into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Fairview Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 26 , 2011 at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Lucille G. Finley was born February 15, 1924 the oldest child of Wilbur and Bernice Davis. Lucille graduated from C.C. Hubbard School. On August 22, 1947 she married James Paul Finley who passed away in 1985. To that union they were blessed with three children and a niece whom they raised as a daughter.
Lucille was a homemaker and a loving wife , mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Salli Payne, a brother Wilbur “Jack” Davis, both of Kansas City, Mo., and a great-grandson Christopher P. Finley Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons George D. Finley(Kay Beth) of Sedalia, James M. Finley (Kathy) of Cincinnati, OH., a daughter Brigitte G. Humphrey of Sedalia, Mo. and a niece Juanita Dalene Davis of Ft. Worth, Tx., and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, and an aunt, Loretta Emerson of Sedalia, Mo., a brother in law Jimmy Payne of Kansas City, Mo. and a sister in law Bessie Davis of Kansas City, Mo.
Lucille will be sadly and deeply missed by all.
