Loyal Jane Elbert, 92, of Boonville, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at St. Matthew AME Church in Boonville. There will be no visitation. Services will be live streamed through the HT May & Son Funeral Home Facebook page and can be found at https://www.facebook.com/htmayfuneralhome.
Loyal Jane Elbert was born June 9, 1929, in Bunceton, Mo, the daughter of Loyal and Virginia Williams Hill. She was married to Charles "Bud" Elbert, and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was a faithful member of the St. Matthews AME Church. One of her favorite things to do was to watch the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She loved to travel with her family to any destination they would be going. She loved reading her bible in her quiet time. Her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and grandchildren, where she was known as Granny.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Charles Elbert (Sheila) of Boonville, Sherel Elbert (Leta) of Kansas City, Barry Elbert (Dianne) of Boonville, LaDonna Drew of Boonville, Gail Thornton of Columbia, Stephanie Hutchen of Charlotte, NC, Wanda Trawick (Tyrone) of Prattville, AL, and Christy Dawson of Kansas City. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Loyal Hill and Virginia Hill, husband Charles "Bud" Elbert and son Curtis Elbert.
