Lorraine Germany, 71, of Maryland Heights, formerly of Columbia passed away at Brookview Nursing Home on Friday December 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 10 am at HT May & Son Funeral Home in Columbia. A visitation will be held from 9-10 am at the Funeral Home.
Lorraine Catherine Preston Germany was called home on Friday December 13, 2013. Lorraine was born on August 21, 1942 to Herman “Ace” and Carrie Wallace in St. Louis, MO. Lorraine lived in St. Louis, MO as well as sisters Raydett and Sandra.
Lorraine was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 22, 2011, through the Hinkson Creek Congregation in Columbia, MO.
Lorraine held many jobs of importance while living in St. Louis, she was employed by the City of St. Louis, MO Postal Service. Later Lorraine would be a school bus driver and even became a volunteer foster grandparent at a local Columbia, MO elementary school. Lorraine also enjoyed her position as Chief of the Sterile Processing Department at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her father Herman “Ace” Wallace and her Husband Curtis Germany. Lorraine leaves behind her two daughters Bernadette Tabb of Columbia, MO and Cecilia Preston of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren Anastasia Preston of Granite City, IL, Denise Preston Travis (James) of Overland, MO, Lanette Preston of Columbia, MO, Nicole Preston of Jefferson City, MO, Salena Preston of Columbia, MO, Shayna Preston of St. Louis, MO, Jennifer Tabb of Columbia, MO, and Alvino Williams (Alicia) of Lawton, OK. She also leaves a host of great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
