Loretta Harris' Obituary
Gather around children and you will hear the tale of the fiery Irish queen known as Loretta Harris (née Gillaspy). Brave and stubborn with flaming red hair, she—born into the world as the daughter of William and Lucille (Gillaspy, Blaine respectively)—held reign for 78 years as the matriarch of the Hager and Harris clans. She entered the world in 1945 and lived in and around Blue Lick Township before an early marriage found her in Slater and later Marshall. She bore three equally as stubborn and wild children—William Mark (the eldest), Robert Mathew (the Mickey) and Melody Shawn (the heir to the throne). Our dear brave queen eventually settled back to Blue Lick, her ancestral homeland, to live out her days; surrounded by her guardians of cats, dogs, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her equally brave husband, George Harris and her son George L. Harris Jr.. Her gallant adventures will be forevermore memorialized by her decedents:
