Lorenzo Grayson's Obituary
Lorenzo "Duck" Grayson, 58, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at his home. A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Oak Chapel Baptist Church in Guthrie, MO at 1:00 PM.
Lorenzo "Duck" Grayson was born on December 29, 1964, in East St. Louis, MO the son of Willie Neely and Q.T. Grayson. He was the third of five siblings. Lorenzo received his education from East Side High School where he played football, and he enjoyed playing all sports. He was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Lorenzo moved to Columbia, MO and worked as a mechanic at Columbia Car Rental and Repair for many years.
He enjoyed listening to music and he loved dancing and would always helping people. He had a Love for the Lord. He also loved making people laugh. He was always known for saying "Old Country Azz" and what Flipper Say Aht Aht ", "Quack Quack". He enjoyed cooking and was famous for preparing Tripe that would melt in your mouth. Everyone who got to know Duck loved Duck.
To know Duck was to love Duck.
He leaves to cherish his memory a special friend Debra Carter, his siblings Tabitha Grayson and Carnell Grayson both of Columbia, MO and Henry Grayson of East St. Louis, MO, and one Uncle John A Moore Jr. (Daisy) of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Dorothy Grayson, and one Aunt Johnnie B. Evans.
