Lorean E. Baker's Obituary
Lorean E. Baker, 92, of Jefferson City, Mo. formerly of Tipton, Mo. answered the call of Jesus on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tipton. Burial will be in the Versailles City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday at the Prairie Grove Baptist Church.
Lorean E. Baker was born February 12, 1919 in Georgetown, Mo., the daughter of the late Henry and Carrie Molden. She was united in marriage on October 10, 1940 to Burnam W. Baker who preceded her in death on May 15, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Baker had lived in Casper, WY. for twenty years before retiring to Tipton, MO. She was a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church where Rev. Walter Foster was her pastor.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children Barbara Brigance and Patricia Baker both of Jefferson City, Mo., Burnam Baker Jr. of Denver, CO., and Wendell Baker and his wife Beverly of Huntsville, AL.,one sister Florence Carter of Bakersfield, CA., 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Lorean will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends.
