Lisa E. Bobbitt's Obituary
Lisa Ellen Bobbitt (Leonard), age 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 28, 2026. She was born in Columbia, MO on August 3, 1956, to parents Bob and Patricia Leonard. Lisa grew up in Columbia and attended Hickman High School, class of 1974. In 1981, she attended Stephens College where she pursued a degree in accounting. She began her professional career in the mid-90s as an accountant at Stephens College and subsequently served as Secretary and Stable Manager for Stephens College Stables. In 1999, she joined the team at Walmart, where she worked until her retirement in 2013.
Lisa was devoted to her friends, cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Later in life Lisa enjoyed traveling to California and Montana to visit family. She is remembered by family and friends for her warm smile, encouraging nature, and affection for animals. She was a dedicated mother, loving sister, and proud grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Bobbitt, Mary Bobbitt, and Sarah Bobbitt; siblings, Rob Leonard, Anne Cannaday, and Tom Leonard; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. One grandson proceeded her in death.
A service in celebration of Lisa Ellen Bobbitt's life will be held on May 8, 2026, at Green Acres Natural Burial Cemetery, 1406 S Hickory Grove School Road, Rocheport, MO 65279. In lieu of flowers, friends and loved ones can make a donation to the Central Missouri Humane Society in her name.
