Lequita Dickson's Obituary
Lequita (Tina) Marie Kindle Dickson, age 74, of Marshall, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her family at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Per Lequita’s wishes, there will be no service at this time. If the family chooses to have one, it will be at a later date.
Lequita was born July 16, 1951, in Lexington, Missouri, to the late Jack Warner Kindle and Dorothea Alvira Lichtentheler Kindle. She was an employee at the Marshall Habilitation Center for [many] years before retiring January 1, 2008, to help take care of her granddaughter, whom she loved more than anything.
The one thing Lequita loved the most was her family. Through the good and the bad, that love never wavered. Lequita’s most cherished memories were those of times spent with family and friends. Her greatest blessing in life was being a ganny, parent and best friend to her granddaughter.
Lequita is survived by her favorite daughter, Valerie Dickson (Marshall, MO); her favorite son Nathan Dickson and her favorite daughter-in-law Ashley (Rhed) Morgan (Durham, NC); her favorite granddaughter Kady Dickson-Sayers (Marshall, MO); her sisters, whom she loved deeply, Jaquie (Ben) Culver (Warrensburg, MO) and Linette Lester (Carrollton, MO); several nieces and nephews and many bonus family members.
Lequita was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Treva Slade, and her brother Howard Kindle.
