Leo E Stock's Obituary
Leo Edward Stock, 92, of Boonville, MO, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning, March 19, 2023 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville, MO and was welcomed in his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with loving arms. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Funeral services, celebrating his earthly and eternal life, officiated by David Mackey, will also be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Both the visitation and funeral services will take place at Riverside Christian Church, Boonville, MO. Graveside services with full military honors, will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, MO immediately following.Services will be live streamed at 1:00 PM through the HT May & Son Funeral Home Facebook page and can be found at https://www.facebook.com/htmayfuneralhome.
Leo was born July 14, 1930 in Wooldridge, MO, the son of Adam George Adolph Stock and Minnie Pursley Stock. He married Judith Anne Henderson on February 26, 1956 in Boonville, MO. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951-1953, obtaining the rank of staff sergeant. For his service, he received the Korean Service Medal with three bronze stars, United Nations Service medal, and two overseas bars. Leo started with Trouts Bakery and ended with Interstate Brands, working as a baker in Boonville, MO for 44 years. He was actively involved with summer baseball programs for over twenty years as a manager and coach, mentoring young men from ages 5 through 15 during that time. He was generous with his heart, his time, his smile, his stories, and his contagious laugh, loving, supporting, and uplifting family, friends, and acquaintances through the years.
He leaves to cherish his memory four sons Jon (Carla) Stock of Nixa, MO, Joseph Stock of Jefferson City, MO, Jeff (Tracy) Stock of Rolla, MO, and Todd (Kristi) Stock of Prairie Home, MO; five grandchildren Ashley (Jeremiah) Penrod, Andrew (Ariane) Stock, Alyson (Kolby) Hurt, Kohlie (Chris) Browning, and Bennett Stock; seven great grandchildren Zoey Berger, Zaylee Stock, Zareyah Stock, Madelynn Penrod, Isaiah Penrod, Kaleo Hurt, and Kinnah Hurt. He was preceded in death by his wife Judith Anne Stock, his parents, five sisters including Viola Keesling, Corine Stock, Mary Walters, Lillian Lawson, and Josephine King; along with four brothers Perry Stock, Arnold Stock, Ernest Stock and Homer Stock.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Charlie 22 Outdoors, Riverside Christian Church, or Hometown Homecare Hospice in Fayette, MO.
