Leiona Elizabeth Redmon's Obituary
Leiona Elizabeth Redmon, 58, was a lifelong resident of Columbia, MO., and she passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at University Hospital surrounded by loving family and friends.
She was born on October 10, 1958 to Robert Ricketts and Ida Mae Redmon-Ricketts (William Roy Ballinger). She attended Hickman High School. Leiona was employed at the University of Missouri-Campus Facilities. Leionas' "proper greetings" always included a few choice words, a loving embrace, alongside with that unforgettable laugh and smile. She made a memorable impression on a multitude of people in all walks of life. Leiona had an extraordinary personality that will stay with family and friends for a lifetime.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a special friend Carl Docker, her children Helana Brown, and Ronald (Ronnie) Brown the children of Ronald Brown Sr., Malcolm Redmon Sr. the son of Bruce Stephens , all of Columbia, MO. Ten grandchildren; LaRonyea Brown, Rhianna Washington, Rmani Brown, Ryleigh Brown, Malcolm Redmon Jr., Nico Redmon, Ahleiona Redmon, Domionte Cheatum, Akile Brown and Drake Brown, one great grandchild Yahni Jackson, her sisters Sharon (Walter Lee) Lewis, Simone Ricketts, Robbin Ricketts, Carmen White, all of Columbia, MO., and Christina Ballinger of California, William Ballinger Jr. a brother of St. Paul, Minnesota, four uncles Charles(Geraldine) Redmon Robert( Essie) Redmon of Columbia, MO., and Walter (Janice) Redmon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an aunt Tessie Redmon of Columbia, MO. A special Great Uncle Walter Rolley, nieces LaKisha Ricketts, , Brandi Ricketts, , Asia Ricketts of Columbia, MO. nephews : Walter Ricketts, Montrez Ricketts, Javonte' Roy of Columbia, MO., and a host of Cousins that she truly loved.
