Lavina C Hodges' Obituary
Lavina Hodges, 98, of Boonville, MO, passed away on Thursday at her home. Visitation will be from 10-11Am Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with a Rosary being recited at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
Lavina C. Hodges was born January 14, 1924, in Pilot Grove, MO the daughter of Otto Joseph Kempf and Mary Magdalena Twenter Kempf. She was a faithful member of the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for many years, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary, Daughters of Isabella, and she also helped with all of the funeral dinners. She also serves a Den Mother for her sons in the Cub Scouts.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Kathy (Don) Johnmeyer of Denton, TX, Mary Ellen (Dale) Bechtel of Boonville, MO, four sons Ronnie (Brenda) Hodges of Boonville, MO, J. Brent (Jolene) Hodges IV of Tipton, MO, Keith (Joyce) Hodges of Boonville, MO, and Mark Hodges of Boonville, MO, two brothers Estill (Alice) Kempf of Florissant, MO and Jerry Ray Kempf of Boonville, MO, one sister in law Dorothy Kempf of Boonville, MO, 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James B. Hodges, five brothers, two sisters and one great grandson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or school.
