Kym Pryor's Obituary
Kym Pryor, 43, of Columbia entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at University of Missouri Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Kym Lark Pryor was born on June 2, 1973 to the union of Cleveland and Ola Pryor in Chicago, IL. Kym accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John of God Catholic Church under the leadership of the Reverend Raymond J. Jansinski. She also attended St. John of God elementary school on the Southside of Chicago.
Kym was known to be a very kindhearted and courageous individual. She will be remembered as a social butterfly who brought joy and laughter to those she encountered. She was a very involved and beloved participant at the New Horizon Adult Care Center where she developed close friendships from June 2005 until she departed this life. She held a special place in her heart for the memories created while attending the Nyra Center. It was there where she learned life skills such as cooking. Sewing, participated in meaningful discussions and more.
Kym also enjoyed quality time spent with her big brother and care taker Michael. Together, they would enjoy movie and bingo nights along with a tasty time at Golden Corral or Teppanyaki Buffet.
Kym made her transition from earth to eternity at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
Kym was preceded in death by both of her parents Cleveland and Ola Pryor, and her sister Gwendolyn Pryor.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving sisters Vera Pryor of Chicago, IL, Debra Pryor of Chicago, IL, Felicia (Ray) Shaviri of Milton, WA, three brothers Kenneth (Tonja) Pryor of Federal Way, WA, Dennis Pryor of Federal Way, WA, Michael (Veronica) Pryor of Columbia, MO, and Derrick (Lealer) Pryor of Chicago, IL and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other friends and loved ones.
