Kathryn Anne Conway's Obituary
Kathryn Anne Conway, 69, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Boone Hospital Center.
Katherine Anne (Hicks) Conway was born February 14, 1951 in Madison, MO to Herbert and Lucille Marie Hicks. She attended Madison elementary and high school and attended Moberly Junior College, Moberly, MO.
God called Katherine Anne Conway to her eternal rest on July 28, 2020, while a patient at Boone Hospital at Columbia, MO.
"Kat", as she was affectionately called, enjoyed working in public and caring for the elderly in their homes in and around the Marshall, MO area. She enjoyed people and life.
She also enjoyed eating at new and untried restaurants. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching people enjoy her food.
Kat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to church and working in the church. During her early life she attended Second Baptist Church of Moberly, MO, and later in life attended Second Missionary Baptist Church of Slater, MO and Lewis Chapel Community Church of Glasgow, MO. She liked good preaching and gospel music.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 35 years, Michael Conway, one son, Jason Hockaday (Renee), Marshall, MO; and one daughter, Sholanda Hockaday of Kansas City, MO; Four sisters: Elaine Hicks and Doris (George) Galbreath, both of Minneapolis, MN; Wilma (James) Clark of Charlotte, NC; and Rose (Randy) Cropp of Aurora, CO. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she truly loved and adored. She had many friends and acquaintances and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a stepson, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2020 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. at the Marshall First Methodist Church in the New Life Center. Kathy's funeral service will be private. Due to the Covid 19 everyone attending the visitation and or the funeral services are requested to wear a mask and to observe social distancing
