Justine Woods' Obituary
Justine Woods, 85, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Second Baptist Church in Salisbury at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1-2PM Saturday at the church.
Justine Elizabeth Woods, lovingly known as “Golddigger,” passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 85.
She was born on May 9, 1940, in Chariton County, Missouri, to Roberta (Woods) Butler and Charlie Woods.
Justine was a woman with a gentle spirit and a heart full of kindness. She found joy in the simple things—playing bingo, spending time with a deck of cards, and listening to music. Those who knew her will remember her for her sweet soul and the warmth she brought into every room.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janny Hayes of Columbia, Missouri, and Barbara Woods of Moberly, Missouri; her sisters, Birdie Woods and Dora Miller, both of Moberly, Missouri; and her brother, Leon Birch of Indiana.
Justine also leaves behind a loving legacy of five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kay F. Jackson and Margaret R. Hayes; and two brothers, Joe L. Hayes and Kenneth E. Jackson.
Justine’s life was a testament to quiet strength, love for family, and a gentle kindness that will never be forgotten.
