Joseph Scaletta's Obituary
Joseph Scaletta, 77, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Hilltop Christian Church in Mantua, Ohio at 11 AM. Bring your favorite memories to share. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, OH following the memorial service.
Joseph (Jay) was born November 15, 1941 in East Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Jerome Arthur and Helen Christine(Senkbiel) Scaletta.
He married Roberta Ann Jahn on July 16, 1966, and she preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Riverside High School in New Jersey. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was very proud to have served his country that he loved. He continued his education and became a Barber for many years. He worked in retail and also worked for Leeda Northeast as a bus driver and as a home health aide. All of his clients loved him. On April 14, 2019, he married Linda L. Matthews, who survives at the home.
He was a great family man and family meant everything to him.
Survivors include his sons Jerome Robert (Jay) Scaletta of Aurora, OH, and Joseph Donald Scaletta Jr.(Andrea) of Parma, OH, a brother Donald Jerome Scaletta(Judy) of Akron, OH, his wife Linda L. Matthews of Columbia, MO.
