Jimmy Butler's Obituary
Jimmy Butler, 64, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at The Living Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home.
Jimmy, born James Butler on January 18, 1960, in Marshall, MO, was the beloved son of Linwood Butler Sr. and Edna Williams Butler. He worked at the Petit Jean Chicken Factory in Buffalo, MO, and had a lifelong passion for horses, enjoying both riding and breaking them. Jimmy also had a deep love for country music, which was a significant part of his life.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Marlene Parrish (Marnez) of Huntsville, AL; Jammie Butler of Springfield, MO; Jessica Torimino (Charles) of Springfield, MO; and Terrance Erby of Springfield, MO. Jimmy is also survived by his siblings: Michale Butler (Heather) of Blackwater, MO; Edward Allen Butler of Nelson, MO; Linwood Butler Jr. (Shauna) of Nelson, MO; Dale Butler of Nelson, MO; Teresa McDonald (Chris) of Blackwater, MO; Linda Butler of Marshall, MO; and Tina Ricklin (Howard) of Nelson, MO.
His legacy lives on in his grandchildren: Jeffery, Chad, Jasmine, Austin, Javion, Amber, and Samuel, as well as his step-grandchildren, Cameron and Rose. He will also be fondly remembered by his ex-son-in-law Keven Weeks, special niece Tasha Woods, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Freddie Butler.
Jimmy’s love for life, his family, and his cherished horses will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
