Jimmie McBee's Obituary
Jimmie Carlos McBee passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 90.
The son of Willard Caswell McBee and Goldie Lucille (Danielson) McBee, Jim was born on September 24, 1935, in Queen City, MO. He attended rural schools prior to graduating from Queen City High School with the class of 1953.
Jim was united in marriage to Lettie Elaine Rowland. The young couple made their home in Queen City. During this time, Jim owned and operated the APCO gas station. He also worked bridge construction. Jim later married Donna McKim. After 20 years of working in construction, he retired to pursue his dream of becoming a poker dealer in Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved to Las Vegas and married Romona Lynch Fowler. Jim dealt poker in several poker rooms in Las Vegas including Harrah’s and other casinos. He began working at the Flamingo Casino andHotel and remained there until his retirement, having dealt poker for approximately 40 years. Jim has been known as the oldest poker dealer in Las Vegas and was privileged to have dealt for the preliminary rounds of the World Series of Poker. After the passing of Romona, Jim married Kim (Mal Sun Healey).
Jim was very social and hosted many people in his home over the years. He enjoyed a good meal and having a few drinks with his family and friends. Even when he wasn’t working, he would spend hours playing poker. He also enjoyed eating mushrooms and garden food when he came home to Missouri almost every spring.
During the last few years Jim resided in Queen City with his baby Sister and her husband, Constance (McBee) Davis and Darrell Davis. He enjoyed watching sports on television and visiting with his family. He was an avid Cardinal Baseball and K.C. Chief’s fan.
Jim built quite a family legacy. Jim is survived by his wife, Kim, his three children Jimmy Lee (Rhonda) McBee, Terry (Tom) Matlock and Shauna (Rick) Garner, as well as his five stepchildren: Carl (Dorothy) McBee, Lewis (Alice) McBee, Kelly (William Shaw) Lovekamp, Todd (Brandi) Fowler, and Tony (Tonya) Fowler.
Grandchildren include Jacob McBee, Joshua (Renee) McBee,Zachary (Jessica) McBee, Derek Ray, Kyle (Amber) Ray, Candy (Brad) Kirchner, Kelsey Saunooke, Skylar Doak, Riley Garner, Jorja Garner, Chelsie (James) Mathews, Megan Johnson, Emma (Corey) Hodowanic, Heather (Mike) Johns, Honesty McBee, Brittany (Mike) Zeller, Ryan (Renatta Blackorby) McBee, Tara (Dakota Schmitter) Lovekamp, Karissa (Davion Lopez) Lovekamp, Keith (Jordyn Barber) Fowler, Tabatha Fowler, and Chanel (Charles Mcconkey) Fowler. He is also survived by his wonderful caregivers, sister and brother-in-law Constance and Darrell Davis. He was close with nieces and nephews, Brenda (Sidney) Sidwell, Jani (Mike) Bailey, Jerrod (Jill) Willier and Justin (Amber) Willier.
Great grandchildren are Layla, Tessa, Preston, Payton, Wesley, Gabriel, Cadence, Brock, Carley, Hailey, Kaitlyn, Sylas, Andrew, Jerilynn, Jacklyn, Annalise, Jacob, Ivy, James, Noah, Levi, Lincoln, Henry, Claire, Brody, Reasie, Brycen, Emery, Pearce, Ellisynn, and Emerson.
Great-great grandchildren are Rowan, Briggs, Beck, Blakely,and Atlas as well as many other relatives and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, siblings: Marvin McBee, Alma Atkinson, and Lewis (Doc) McBee, brother-in-law, Robert Atkinson, niece, Becky Stamer and former wives: Lettie, Donna and Romona.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Queen City Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 63, Queen City, MO 63561. Graveside services will be held on March 7, 2026, at 1:30 Pm at the Queen City Cemetery with Sonny Smyser officiating.
