Jewell Hayes Bentley , 66, of Columbia, passed into life eternal on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her home surrounded by her friends and family
Funeral Services are being held Saturday, January 14th at 12:00pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbia, MO; Visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jewell Hayes Bentley was born September 4th, 1945 in Columbia the daughter of John and Amanda Williams Hayes.
Jewell was a graduate of Douglass High School and worked many years as a housekeeper for hotels and other business around the city.
She is survived by her Sons Tracy Hayes of Columbia and Clarence Bentley of Jefferson City, step-son William Bentley, step-daughters Sandra Bentley, Joann Stevens, and Shirley Ann Griffin of Jefferson City. She is also survived by four brothers Carl “Jack” Hayes of Wichita, KS., and his special friend Geraldine Morris, Clarence(Vonnia) Hayes of Las Vegas, NV., Rev. Raymond(Celestine) Hayes, and William (Cornelia) Hayes both of Columbia, three sisters Clara Pauline(James) Harris of Peoria, IL., Evelyn Lee, and Phyllis(John) Williams, all of Columbia, MO, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews
