Jerry Eddy's Obituary
Jerry Robert Eddy, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City, MO.
He was born August 28, 1943, in San Diego, California; to Robert Frank Eddy and Marjorie Mae (Fried) Eddy.
He married Barbara Sue (Smith) Eddy on December 20, 1978, in Jefferson City, MO. They had two children that he was a proud father of; a daughter, Tanya Eddy, and a son Jason Eddy.
Jerry was in the Navy and then went on to work as a drywall finisher for many years starting in the late 80’s displaying his skilled work and ability to train new comers. He was well known in the industry as he worked for Jim’s Drywall, Dudenhoeffer Drywall, Modern Interior, and Braun Drywall. He was a union member from September 1994-December 2007 when he retired from local 1185.
Jerry truly lived life to the fullest through many simple pleasures; He was a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders, as he had a love of riding motorcycles, rebuilding motorcycles and entering bike shows ,chatting and joking with friends and family, telling stories, drawing, going to the races, wood working, playing pool, pool tournaments, fishing, playing cards, and he loved training and spoiling his dogs. He always had the ability to make people laugh and feel loved and welcome. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Eddy of Lohman, MO; a daughter, Tanya Eddy (Jeremy Haldiman) of Jamestown, MO; a son, Jason Eddy of Lohman, MO; eight grandchildren, Kamryn, Wyatt, Keiara, Jasmine, Gunnar, Trenton, Madison, and Mikayla; and a great grandchild, Ryan; His siblings, Trudy, Edwina, Leonard, Gail, Eddie, Wendy and Linda.
