Janie L. Briscoe,68, of Boonville entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at University of Missouri Hospital. Services will be held on Saturday February 27, 2016 at 2 PM at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville. The visitation will be held from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
Janie Lucille Briscoe, 68 years of age, was born to William and Bessie (Lewis) Briscoe on January 16, 1948 in Boonville, MO.
Janie attended Boonville public schools. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and care for her family.
Janie loved working crossword puzzles and enjoying a good game of BINGO with her friends. She also enjoyed watching old Western and Tyler Perry movies. One of her favorite movies was "Holiday Heart". Janie loved her music. She enjoyed listening to old time Gospel. She also enjoyed the music of her favorite singer, R. Kelly.
Janie's true passion were her grandchildren. They were the love and light of her life. She treasured her time that she spent with them. She enjoyed taking care of them and watching them grow.
Janie was a kind, humble and soft spoken woman who loved the Lord. With her ever present smile, she was always willing to share and help anyone who needed her.
Leaving to always cherish her memory, her daughter Debbie Ann Briscoe of Boonville, MO, her sons, William David Briscoe of Boonville, MO and John Edward Briscoe of Farmington, MO.
Treasuring her memory are three grandsons, Ryan Briscoe, Devantae Briscoe and Darius Briscoe. Two granddaughters, Rebecca Briscoe and Tiana Brown; and one great-grandson, Isaiah Briscoe.
Honoring her memory are her brothers, William (Sharon) Briscoe, John (Brenda) Beard, David (Gloria) Stemmons, George Martin. Her sisters, Mary Briscoe, Judy (William) Webb, Marrica Lewis, Tena Lewis, Keren Martin, Anita Lewis, Dyanne Lewis and Hope Huff.
Janie also leaves a loving hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will also be lovingly remembered by her friends at Riverdell Care Center.
Janie was proceeded in death by her parents and her daughter, Marrissa Ann Briscoe.
