Janice Marie Ralph's Obituary
Janice Marie Ralph, 51, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Kelly Sapp officiating, on Wednesday, June 15, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 204 East Ash Street, in Columbia. A repast will follow the services and interment.
Janice was born November 19, 1964, in Columbia, Missouri, to John Ralph and Ada (Redden) Ralph. Janice graduated from Southern Boone County R-1 High School in Ashland in 1983. She initially followed in her mother’s footsteps and pursued nursing tech training. After obtaining her commercial driver’s license, Janice enjoyed her career as a professional driver with Columbia Public Schools and later with Mid-Missouri Auto Auction transferring vehicles from numerous dealers throughout the state.
Janice was preceded in death by her father John Ralph.
She is survived by her mother and siblings Mary, Paula (Art), Leon, and Tim (Loretta) of Columbia. She is also survived by her aunt Gertrude Redden of Ashland, and her uncles Howard (Georgia) Redden and Elmer (Carrie) Redden of Columbia, Jimmy Reed of Des Moines, Iowa, and Leon Stapleton of Kansas City, Missouri.
Janice had a special bond with her cousins Anthony Ray of New Franklin, Missouri, Rahdika Swann of Alexandria, Virginia, and Ladonna Redden of San Antonio, Texas, and their families. Janice was beloved by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends who knew her as a fun babysitter and devoted aunt. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and extended family.
