Jan D. Patterson's Obituary
Jan D. Patterson, 61, of Columbia entered the kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Columbia Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 22, 2014 at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia, there will be no visitation.
Jan “Stoney” Patterson lost his battle to cancer and was called home May 18, 2014. He was 61 years old.
Jan was born October 19, 1953. He was the son of the late Hosey Milton and Anna Mary Milton in St. Louis Mo. Jan was united in marriage to Donnette (Wright) Patterson on August 6, 1994.
Jan graduated from Sumner High School in St.Louis, Missouri and attended college in the state of Wisconsin. He lived in Sedalia and moved to Columbia Mo, where he worked for Mo-X Express for several years and later working for the City of Columbia Transportation as a supervisor, for 10 years before retiring.
Jan loved spending time with his family especially the kids. He loved his Cadillac and keeping it shined up. Jan’s passion was singing gospel with the group “One Accord” previously “Perfect Mix” for 12 years, they went on to release a gospel C.D.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Donnette Patterson, six sons Derrick Jones (Wanda)-St.Louis, Jan Patterson Jr (Brenda)-Cuba; Ryan Wright(Kelly)-Springfiled, Lorenzo Wright-Columbia, Jerome Wright(Satin)Columbia, Walter Wright(Kenya)-Columbia, brother Kermit Milton —St.Louis, mother-in-law RuthAnn Jones —Boonville, brother-in-law Tommy Wright (Sharon) – Boonville, brother-in-law Donnell Wright Jr. (Deidre)-Columbia, brother-in-law Charles Wright (Chante’)-Columbia seven grand kids, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jan was preceded in death by his parents Hosey Miller, Anna Mary Milton and sister-in-law Kim Wright.
