James "Mike" Sulltrop's Obituary
Lifelong Fayette resident James Michael "Mike" Sulltrop passed away January 11, 2026.
Mike was born June 29, 1957, to James H. and Loretta Calvert Sulltrop. Mike graduated from Fayette High School and graduated from welding school at Chillicothe Vocational-Technical School.
Mike was a self-employed jack of all trades. If you convinced him he couldn't do something, he would prove you wrong out of spite. He loved to read western novels.
Survivors include William (Bill) Sulltrop, Mary Susan (Susie) (Matt) Summerour, Joseph Mitchell (Joe) Sulltrop, Candy Sulltrop, special friend Amanda Jackson, nieces Hannah, Hallie and nephew Jacob Summerour and numerous cousins. Mike leaves behind his 10 dogs and a few cats who he truly loved each and every one.
A funeral mass will be January 31 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church Fayette. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:30-2:30 at Fayette Senior Center 600 S. Cleveland Street.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church or to the family.
