James Robert "Mudbone" Logan, 70, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Luke United Methodist Church from 10-12PM.
James Robert “Mudbone” Logan, 70, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 26, 1955, in Columbia, Missouri, James was the son of James Logan and Carrie Lou Key Logan. Known by many as “Mudbone,” he carried a spirit that was both strong and deeply rooted in family.
James was a proud son, brother, and friend. He valued time spent with family and understood the importance of standing by the people he loved. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying one another’s presence, he made sure his family knew they mattered.
He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers: Joe Logan, Leslie Key, Clifford Cochran, and Mike Logan; and one sister, Cynthia Logan Crum. He is also remembered by extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Lou Key Logan; his sisters, Sherry Hayes and Maxine Cochran; his brothers, Anthony Logan and Keith Logan; and his grandmother, Nevada Washington Key.
James will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the bonds he maintained, and the quiet strength he showed throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a lasting comfort to those who knew and loved him.
