James Dewey Jackson, 68, of Boonville, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Thursday December 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday December 20, 2014 at New Life in Christ Ministries in Boonville. The visitation will be held from 12-2 PM at the church.
Thursday December 11, 2014 James Dewey Jackson was called home to be with the lord. James Dewey Jackson was born June 21, 1946 in Bunceton, Missouri to the late Frankie Dewey Jackson and Jerneal Cowans.
He attended Bunceton Public School, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He worked in construction, was self employed and well known for selling bricks, tearing down old houses; but the job he truly loved the best was at McDonalds.
Survivors include his loving wife Maurette Darlene Jackson , one daughter Theresea M. Wiggins (Richard) of Boonville, Missouri, two sons Terry Jackson (Pat-Pat) of Kansas City and Tyrone Jackson of Boonville, Missouri. He leaves four brothers: Russell Jackson of Slater, Missouri, Chris Cowans of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jack Cowans of Boonville, Missouri, and Homer Cowans of Arkansas; four sisters: Eunice Wright of Boonville, Missouri, Alberta Jackson of Bunceton, Missouri, Pat Graham of Boonville, Missouri, and Margie Cowans of Moberly, Missouri. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and large extended family.
He was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
