James Early's Obituary
James Thomas Early, 27, of Columbia, Missouri, found his peace on November 13th, 2021.
He was born in Galveston, Texas on June 13, 1994 after his dog, Maddie, ate seven corn cobs the night before. It was a beautiful, hot Texas day. Everyone on the island was ecstatic, except for his two older sisters who knew he would become the apple of his mother’s eye and steal all her attention. He was the first and only boy born to his parents.
James’s sense of humor was only paralleled by his smile, which could make you feel like the most important person in the world. He drank coffee by the potful, with cream and sugar, at 9 at night. He was kind to humans and animals alike. He never knew a stranger, listened with a keen ear, and was quick to laugh. His interests were prolific; he enjoyed music, religion, science, and literature, becoming well-versed in both Nietzsche and the Beatles. He played a mean guitar.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Yutzy, his father, Terrence Stephen Early, his adoring sisters, Lauren Elizabeth Early-Chamas and Kelsey Anne Early, his step-father, Sean Hearn Yutzy, his step-mother Carla Early, his brother-in-law, Bilal Chamas, his niece, Ayla Elora Chamas, his cat, Spike, and countless other family members who will forever cherish his gentle soul.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church located at 16 Hitt Street, Columbia, Missouri 65201. Interment to follow for family members.
