Jacqueline Jefferson's Obituary
We are heartbroken to share the passing of Jacqueline Jefferson of Columbia, MO, who left us on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital. Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Fifth Street Christian Church in Columbia, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday.
Jacqueline Edwards Jefferson was born on January 24, 1964, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Daisy Bell and James Edwards Sr. As the youngest of eight siblings, she grew up in Portsmouth and attended the local public school system.
In the early 1990s, Jacqueline relocated to Missouri, where she raised her children—Antoine, Anthony, and Andre. She was an entrepreneur, owning and operating JAAAP Cleaning Business. Known for her generosity, she had a deep passion for serving her community and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was also a dedicated member of 5th Street Christian Church, where she served as an usher.
In 2006, Jacqueline married Henri M. Jefferson. She was known for her vibrant personality and love for celebrations—always bringing joy and excitement wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daisy Bell and James Edwards Sr.; her son, Andre Edwards; and several loved ones, including sister;Jan Edwards, brother;Kelvin Edwards, nieces; Katrice Edwards, and Sabrina Edwards.
She leaves behind cherished memories with her children, 10 grandchildren, and a host of siblings, family, and friends, including Robert Lee, Patricia (Danny) Broadus, James Edwards Jr., Kenny (Whilemena) Edwards, Janette Edwards.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony, Antoine, Robert Lee, Kevin Jefferson, Henri Jefferson, Kenneth Mathews, and James Dudley.
Jacqueline’s warmth, generosity, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
