Hirene Williams 's Obituary
Hirene Williams, 91, of Boonville was called home to her reward on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12 PM at Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM at the church Saturday.
Hirene Drew Williams was born on April 16, 1925 the daughter of George and Lorene Wright Drew.
She retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone after 32 years as a security manager. She was a member of the Morgan Street Baptist Church where she was a church mother, and a member of the Trustee Board. She was a commissioner for Boonville Housing Authority, a member of the Cooper County Hospital Auxiliary Board, a member of the CCBC, and a founding member of the Teach and Sew Club. Hirene loved to entertain and travel the world. She moved back to her home of Boonville, MO. from New Jersey in 1980.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Cynthia Williams Davis of Lawrenceville, GA., one sister Judith Watkins (Charles) of Ellenwood, GA., and one brother George Drew (Florence) of Upper Montclair, NJ., and one granddaughter Andrea Davis of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves special cousins Nancy Drew, Estelle May, and a host of other cousins.
