Herman William President , Jr. 's Obituary
Herman William President, Jr. , 80, of Sedalia, Missouri, went home to glory on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday April 9, 2016 at Alexander-May Funeral Home.
He was born on June 14,1935 in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of the late Herman William President, Sr., and Alberta Mae President who preceded him in death.
In 1960 he was united in marriage to Barbara McIntyre and from that union they had two boys, Herman William, III and Michael Wayne. During his life, he also had a daughter named Tiria Bishop.
Herman graduated from CC Hubbard School in 1953. He joined the US Army for 8 years. He was baptized and attended Quinn Chapel AME Church of Sedalia, Missouri.
As a self-employed carpenter, he enjoyed woodwork, was an avid reader, enjoyed playing pool, and cards. He would always charm the ladies and was known to leave them with a smile on their face!
Herman leaves to cherish his memory three children Herman W. President, III (Brennan) Tulsa, Ok., Michael Wayne President (Tammy) Tulsa, OK., and Tiria Bishop, Aurora, CO. 13 grands and great grandchildren, two sisters, Gwendolyn Thompson (Joseph), Port St. Lucia, FL and Kay Beth Finley (Darwin), Sedalia, MO. A brother Albert Benjamin President, Sedalia, MO, two brothers in laws, Edward Johnson, Waterloo, IA., Raymond Taylor, Sedalia, MO, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will truly be missed by all.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Michael President, Jr., five sisters, Sallie, Barbara, Lilah, Carol, and Patty Jo.
