Harold Cruse's Obituary
Harold Cruse, 93, of Sedalia, MO., passed away on Friday, September, 21, 2018 at Resthaven nursing home. Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 12 PM at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church in Sedalia. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 PM at the church on Friday.
He was born on July 18, 1925 to Guss and Rosalee Cruse in Sedalia. He was raised by his mother and grandmother Mary Hamilton. He attended C.C. Hubbard High School, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of Quinn Chapel AME Church until his health failed and the church closed. He retired from the Sedalia School System as a custodian.
He is survived by three daughters Christine Njoku of Sedalia, who was his caregiver when his health and eyesight failed. Connie Mitchell of Lawrenceville, GA., Donna (Warren) Riley of Columbia, SC, seven grandchildren and host of great grandchildren. He also leaves a special aunt Bertha Hamilton and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers Guss and Russell, uncles and a beloved cousin that was like a sister Imogene Burton.
