Gloria Harris' Obituary
Gloria Harris, 70, of Columbia, slept into the arms of Jesus on Monday, January 6, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 1:30 PM at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the church.
Gloria Ellen Harris was born to Estel & Malinda Curren on May 7, 1949 in Triplett, Missouri. Gloria began her eternal life June 6, 2020. Gloria is graduate of David H. Hickman High and she attended Nursing School at the University of Missouri. Gloria was employed as the Community Integration Director for the Foundation for Citizens with Mental Disabilities, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Gloria loved life and lived life to it’s fullest. Her kindness and beautiful smile drew many people to her and made her unforgettable. Gloria had an loving and unbreakable bond with her daughter and grandchildren. Gloria also had a special bond with her eight sisters and three brothers and did not miss one day of communicating with at least one or more of her siblings.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter Andrea Tapia (Marco); two grandsons; Rion Arturo and Marco Giovanni Tapia, and seven sisters (Doris, Delores, Joyce, Kaye, Faye, Marion, and Linda), two brothers (Ronnie and Eugene), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Estel and Malinda Curren, husband James W. Harris, one brother Charles Curren and one sister, Mildred Curren.
