Georgia Coleman Montgomery's Obituary
Georgia Coleman Montgomery, 93, of Boonville surrendered her soul to Christ on Monday, June 7, 2010 at RIverdell Care Center in Boonville. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St.Matthew A.M.E. Church. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-12 pm Saturday at the church. Georgia Montgomery the daughter of Rev. Nelson H. Coleman and Exie Coleman was born on December 28, 1916 in Boonville, Mo.
Georgia accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Nelson Coleman. She attended Sumner High School in Boonville, Mo.
She was a member of the Morgan St. Baptist Church. She also was involved in UNICEF. She was married to Palmer Montgomery on May 6, 1999.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Palmer Montgomery, one son Eugene Hinkle of Chicago, Il., her sister Gladys Coleman Robinson of Sedalia, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers William, James and Harold
