Fredtonya Mae Nickens-Rodgers' Obituary
Fredtonya Mae Nickens-Rodgers, 49, of Fulton, MO., entered into paradise on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Depaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church in Fulton, MO. at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 Saturday at the church.
This is my story which began December 6, 1968 born in Columbia, MO. I was the first child born to Fredetta (Ronnie) Gillette and Carl (Ladonna) Galbreath. I have joined in death my grandfather, Fred Nickens Jr, my sister, Kandi Nickens and my daughter, Chrishimia Nickens.
I lived and cherished life with my loving husband, Darrick Rodgers Sr, of St. Louis, my sons who I raised to be the strong men they are today, Christopher Pittmon, of Fulton, MO, Monta Pittmon and Darrick Rodgers Jr. of St. Louis, MO. 4 daughters, Darronica Rodgers, Jameelah Rodgers, Shaderricka Harrold and Alexis Poke, of St. Louis, MO. 6 of my siblings remain, my sisters Paullita (Darrell) Brown and Nasha Richmond, of Fulton, MO, Gwendolyn (Wilbert) Nelson and Sandra Rodgers of St. Louis, MO and Aaron Galbreath and Eric Galbreath, of Lees Summit, MO. I have 6 grandchildren that Stole My Heart, Christopher Pittmon Jr, Aubrey Pittmon, Monta Pittmon Jr, Brinley Pittmon, Taigan Pittmon and Ronald McCollum. A grandmother, Vera Nickens, 4 nieces & 2 nephews that I helped raise, Deaudrena Vaughn, Da'ajahnae Mitchell, Dionne Vaughn, Kiyah Brown, Deareyon Estes & Darrell Brown Jr. I have a host of Special aunts, uncles, and many other relatives.
I grew up in Fulton, MO and graduated from Fulton High School. I then moved to St. Louis, MO, attended and graduated from Columbia College and Everest College. In my search of finding out what career I wanted to pursue, I was blessed to become a Dental Hygienist with Big Smiles in St. Louis, MO. There I had the pleasure to work with a wonderful team. I was a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church. There I had a caring and loving church family. I also had the joy of building an unbreakable bond with my BFF (Best Friends Forever) Kennette Scott-Maginley, Lavonda Pittmon-Grisby and Betty Pittmon.
Now that you know a little bit about my earthly life, my heavenly journey began on Thursday, February, 1, 2018........
