Frederick B. Gordon's Obituary
Frederick B. Gordon, of Milwaukee, Wi., formerly of Columbia, MO. passed into eternity in Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at St. Luke United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the church.
Frederick B. Gordon was born on March 27, 1940 to the union of Mary Francis Shelley and Eugene Gordon in Columbia, Missouri.
He received his formal education at Douglas High School in Columbia, Missouri.
Fred accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He later Joined with United Christian Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he served as deacon and trustee.
He was united in holy matrimony with Joyce Chappell for over three decades in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was employed by Maynard Steel as a laborer for over twenty years. In his leisure, he enjoyed sports, fashion staying dressed, maintaining his yard, cooking and spending time with his wife.
Fred Gordon departed this life on March 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mary Francis Shelley and Eugene Gordon; two brothers; Eugene Gordon Jr. and Edward Gordon; and one sister; Dorothy Buckner.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Joyce Gordon; three children, Ronetta (Clifford) Woods, Rita (Eric) Franklin, and Randy Payne; one sister, Hazel Story; two brothers, Mason Gordon, Howard Gordon; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
