Freda Marcum's Obituary
Freda “Fred” Mae Marcum, 75, of Sedalia passed Sunday January 4, 2015 at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Freda was born October 8th, 1939 in Cross Timbers, MO and lived in Sedalia, MO for most of her life. She was married to RV Marcum on June 2nd, 1956. She was most proud of her 30 years working for the Sedalia school system as a bus driver, . She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sedalia.
Mom spent her whole life helping others you never seen a child go without a kind word or a hot meal when they came to her house . She spent her life surrounded by kids if not her own hundreds and hundreds she hauled on the bus routes were she formed life long friendships watching them grow and having kids of there own and later hauling them to school , she truly loved them. Mom loved her dogs , keeping a beautiful yard and a spotless home and made the best homemade rolls in the world.. Mom gave back more then she ever received she was a wonderful loving caring person who will be missed by so many.
Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00a.m.at First United Methodist Church-Celebration Center. Pastor Jim Downing Officiating. Family will receive friends from 10a.m. until time of service. A Private family grave side service to follow.
She is survived by two brothers; Paul England and Robert England; and two sisters; Wilma Soileau and Bonnie Mace; three daughters, Tina Reyes, Dorcus Hughes, Rhonda(David) Frye, and one son, Roger Marcum; 11 grandchildren: Shawn Huddleston, Dawn Johnson, Brooke Huddleston, RV Marcum, Jake Marcum, Tyler Marcum, Kristina Marcum, Trenton Houston, Bryce Houston,Chad Marcum, D’Rae Marcum; 7 great grandchildren: Alana Fletcher, Truxton Johnson,GreylynnJohnson, Quincy Johnson, Taggart Johnson, Maggi Marcum and Ryder Marcum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, RV Marcum, one brother and both parents
Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church.
