Frankie Wayne Dodson, 76, of Boonville, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Frankie Wayne Dodson, 76, of Boonville, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Boonville. Born on December 6, 1947, to John William Dodson and Oleda Smith Dodson, Frankie proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Frankie had a passion for coaching baseball, sharing his love for the sport with others, and he enjoyed spending time at the Isle of Capri. He found great joy in the outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature’s beauty.
Frankie leaves behind many cherished memories with his children, Jeff Dodson (Tammie) of Salem, MO, and Stephanie Sims of Boonville, MO. He is also survived by his three sisters, Elizabeth Reece of Illinois, Patricia Cain of New Franklin, and Louise Cain of Boonville, MO, as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John William “Bill” Dodson and Oleda Smith Dodson, his son Jamie Wayne Dodson, his brother John Dodson, and three sisters, Beverly Brown, Maybelle Vollrath, and Betty Ambrose.
Frankie’s kind heart, love for his family, and enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.
