Rev. Floyd "Dunna" Maclin Jr.'s Obituary
Rev. Floyd "Dunna" Maclin Jr., 62, of Columbia, MO.,passed into eternity on Sunday,February 26, 2017 in Callaway County. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10-12 PM Thursday at the church.
Floyd "Dunna" Maclin, Jr., entered into his journey of life on January 15, 1955. He was born from the union of Floyd and Dolores Maclin, Sr. Dunna spent his formative years between St. Louis, MO and Rush City, IL. He graduated from Vashon High School in St. Louis, MO, in 1973. Dunna was an avid fan of baseball. After High School, he played semi-pro for the Cincinnati Reds.
Dunna moved to Columbia, MO in 2005, where he received his CDL license and became a truck driver. He loved driving his truck from state to state while enjoying his personal time with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Dunna loved the Lord. He became a member of 2nd Missionary Baptist Church, where he was the President of the Male Chorus, Inspirational Choir and the Second Ensemble. He was heavily involved in Sunday school, where he also taught, and he assisted family members with obituaries.
Dunna will be reunited with his parents, Floyd and Dolores Maclin, Sr., his brothers, Andre' Lamont Maclin and Terry Leon Ingram, his sister, Tracey Rochelle Ingram, his brother/cousin, Robert Michael “Rikki” Ruffin, his uncle and aunt, Booker T. and Gladys Maclin, his aunt Cleopatra Ruffin Smith, his uncle James Edwards and his grandmother, Zoebertha Edwards.
Left behind to cherish memories of Dunna are his children Carita, Ciara, and Mackenzie, of Springfield, MO. his siblings, Lynn Everett (Lola) Maclin, of Gary, IN., Kirk Damone (Carrie) Maclin, of Crestview, FL., Kim Michelle Mike, of Gary, IN., Denise Jeanetta "Gigi" Maclin, of St. Louis, MO., Karen Antoinette "Toni" Harris, of Crestview, FL., Cleo Patrice "Patti" King, of St. Louis, MO., Charles Edward "Chaz" (Kea) Ingram, Jr., of Santa Clarita, CA., and Derrick Roshon (Patricia) Ingram, of St. Louis, MO. Others left behind to remember Dunna are his sister/cousin Kandyce Joy “Kandy” Ruffin Smith, of Charlotte, NC, brothers/cousins Ronald Ruffin, of New York, and Kenneth Dinero Ruffin of Charlotte, NC, uncle Robert (Donna) Guiallame, of Los Angeles, CA, aunt Leona Edwards, of Flagstaff, AZ and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, his Church Family of 2nd Missionary Baptist Church and friends.
