Emma Brame's Obituary
Emma Brame, 79, of Sedalia, answered the call of the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2010 at Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm Friday at the church.
Emma Marie Brame was born February 22, 1931 in Slater, Mo., the daughter of Elmer VanBuren Sr. and Arlelia Wright VanBuren. She was a member of the Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Red, White and Blue Club, and the Mission Department. She was also a member of the Gertrude Madison #105 OES and the Lauretta Court # 15 Order of Cyrenes. She married Melvin Brame in 1968 and he preceded her in death. She worked for many years in Kansas City, Mo. as a CNA and she returned to Sedalia in 1988.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Donald VanBuren(Nancy) of Sedalia, two brothers Elmer VanBuren(Katherine) Jr. and Billy Joe VanBuren(Docmar) of Marietta, GA., one sister Betty VanBuren of Kansas City, KS., five grandchilren Dilana Franklin, Renee Franklin, Ronald VanBuren, Adrian Young, Tyness Vanburen, three step grandchildren Veronica Sims, Kardell Sims, and Marshall Sims, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister Charlene Broadway.
