Edward B. Gordon's Obituary
Edward B. Gordon, 85, of Columbia slept into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Russell Chapel C.M.E. Church, burial will be in Simpson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 Monday at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia.
Edward Gordon was born May 18, 1925 in Columbia the son of Eugene and Frances Mae (Dempsey) Sheley Gordon.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Marilyn King of Columbia, seven sons John King, Robert King, Elias King, Richard King, Eddie King and Anthony King all of Columbia, and James King of Des Moines, IA., four brothers Eugene Gordon II (Alton) of Jena, LA., Shilo Mason Gordon of Los Angeles, CA., Frederick Gordon(Joyce) of Milwaukee, WI., and Howard Gordon of Omaha, NE.., one sister Hazel Story of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geraldine King Gordon, three sisters and one brother.
