Duran Jones, 38, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the church.
Duran Tramell Jones, affectionately known to all as "Ran Ran," was born to Teresa Jones on September 21, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ran Ran was one of eight siblings. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Teresa Jones; his grandmother, Hattie Swift; and his sister, Shamya Brimmage.
In 2000, Ran Ran moved to Columbia, Missouri, with his mother and siblings. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend, affectionately known by many different names to his family and friends.
Ran Ran was a very loveable, likeable, and funny person who was loved by all who came in contact with him. He had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with his children, playing basketball, dancing, listening to music, and watching movies.
In 2013, Ran Ran met his spouse, QuonTaireyah ("Pinky"). Together, with their blended family, they faced and overcame the challenges of life with faith and love.
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, Duran was called home with grace and mercy to be at eternal peace.
Ran Ran leaves to cherish his memory: his spouse, QuonTaireyah ("Pinky"); four daughters, Naiona, Amya, Na' Zarrah, and Cherish Jones; two sons, Duran and Kiing Jones; two sisters, Tiara Jones and Tyhesia Brimmage; four brothers, Travon ("Mudd") and Dontrez ("Rell") Jones, and Cortez and Jaron ("Ronnie") Brimmage; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
