I have many favorite memories of my Aunt Dorothy growing up in Boonville until we moved to Kansas City. I spent alot of time at her house with my cousin Christy and Kerry.Christy and I were like two peas in a pod always up to something. I told Christy the other day on the phone my most favorite was she taught me how to pop my gum in my mouth when I chewed. My Aunt Jeannie hated it as it drove her crazy and my onry self I am made sure I always had gum in my mouth when they came to visit Grandma and Grandpa Harris. Dorothy just laughed that was our secret we had. RIP as you were always so beautiful and such a hard worker that lived a long life. I'm always here for you Christy just a phone call away. Sending prayers to you and your family.
Christie, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's death. I will always remember the good times we had when we lived out in the neighborhood together & working together at Boben. Also, Christie I remember when you baby sat my two youngest boys but seems so long ago. Sending my condolences, Jenny Windsor
Rest in peace Dorothy. My condolences & prayers to Christie, Sara & Adam and all her loved ones. ❤️ 🙏🏽
Love, Patti Jackson
I remember staying at Grandma's house one time and she said she didn't feel very well and was going to go lie down for a minute, which she NEVER did. Me, feeling a responsible 8 year old, decided I was going to have some roasted marshmallows. So, I proceeded to get the marshmallows and the plastic Tupperware container to put on the stove...needless to say, her nap, like my freedom at Grandma Dorothy's house, was short lived when the nice aroma made its way to the bedroom. 😬 Who knew you couldn't use plastic on a gas stove to roast marshmallows? 🤷🏼♀️
Christie and Sara, I am so very sorry for your loss. May the good memories you share surround you with love.
