Donnie J. Vollrath, 70, of Boonville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at his home. Services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Eagles Lodge in Boonville at 1:15PM. The visitation will be from 12:30PM-1:15PM Saturday at the Eagles Lodge. Services will be live-streamed through Facebook on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 1:15 PM at https://www.facebook.com/htmayfuneralhome.
Donnie Joe Vollrath passed away June 9, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.
Donnie was born December 16, 1950, in Moberly, Missouri to Billy Joe Vollrath and Peggy Sue Elliott Vollrath.
Donnie was a lifelong resident of Boonville, Missouri. He worked at Bobbin Manufacturing and Oatscon until his retirement. Donnie was a member of Eagles Lodge 1022, a past Worshipful Master of Wallace Lodge 456, and served time with the Navy.
Donnie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also loved card games and storytelling. He especially loved a good joke. Some of his favorite things to do was spend time with his grandchildren teaching them about life.
Donnie leaves behind his wife Mary of 34 years. Sons Joe Vollrath of Texas, Lloyd Heckman (Dorothy) of Washington, Dale (Denise) Jones of Columbia, Missouri. Daughters Tammy (Jeff) Purvis of Boonville, and Michelle (Tim) Baker of Franklin. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his dad Arnie (Rickie) Green, a brother William Earl (Pat) Vollrath and one sister Cheryl (Russell) Imhoff all of Boonville, also many nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind two faithful companions Sam and Izzy.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Glenda Heckman, a nephew and his half-sister in Texas.
Donnie will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.
