Donald J. Talton's Obituary
Donald J. Talton, 81, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Log Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, Missouri. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday.
Donald Junior Talton, was born February 2, 1941, to Leroy Talton and Mandy Marie Scott-Talton in Huntington, Missouri. Mr. Talton was known as many things, husband, father to many, papa and good friend. He departed this life on November 18, 2022, in Columbia, Missouri.
Donald attended school in Monroe City.
He worked at the City of Columbia Power Plant where he retired after many years of employment. He also owned and operated his own hauling business of gravel, concrete and dirt.
He was a member and Deacon of Log Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where he helped with all events and was a mentor.
Cherishing his memory and mourning his passing are his wife Jane Tibbs-Talton of Columbia, Missouri, his children Bonita Miller of Kansas City, Missouri, Donald Stacey Talton of Columbia, Missouri, Donald Miller of Columbia, Missouri, Teresa Borndes of Hannibal, Missouri, Lisa Crow of Hannibal, Missouri, Robin Tibbs of Columbia, Missouri, John Tibbs of Plantation, Florida, Shawn Bradford of Columbia, Missouri, Denisha Bradford of Columbia, Missouri and Tameka Forrest of St. Louis, Missouri. He also leaves a brother Joe Talton of Columbia, Missouri, 29 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, two sons and one daughter.
