Donald Schneider's Obituary
Donald Richard Schneider, 80, of Boonville, MO, formerly of Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, April 15, 2024, surrounded by family.
Donald Richard Schneider was born on July 26, 1943, the son of Donald John Schneider and Dorothy Amelia (Richardson) Schneider in Coalville, Utah. Donald married the love of his life Mary Elizabeth Minton on June 23, 1973. Donald served in U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was an active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Donald had many different careers in his life, the one he loved the most was driving “Big Blue”, his 18-wheeler truck. Donald enjoyed camping with his family in the mountains of Utah, taking his grandchildren with him on “Big Blue” and traveling. Donald never new a stranger and loved meeting new people. Most of all he enjoyed his family visits or phone calls. Donald was a very giving person and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy Schneider and brother, Maurice Lee Schneider. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Minton) Schneider, of the home, daughter Julie Lynn Krakowski (John) of Augusta, MO, and daughter, Jill Elaine Oser (Kevin) of New Franklin, MO. Donald loved his grandchildren very much and will be missed dearly by his grandsons Jack Krakowski (Hannah) and Jake Krakowski (Morgan), of Augusta, MO and grandsons Zachary Ruffel (Erica) and Tanner Ruffel (Marie) and great-grandchildren, Kinlei, Korbin, Aubrey, and Ida all of Boonville, MO.
A private celebration of life with be held with family and close friends.
Memorial contributions could be made to the family or Homecare Home Health and Hospice of Fayette.
