From the Pitre Family we send our deepest condolences and sympathies. She was a good person and a good friend. She will be deeply missed.
My name is Irene Perrigo Wester. My father was Fred Perrigo, brother to Myrtle, Dianna's mother. I have so many memories of time spent with Dianna. My Dad and Uncle Bob were great friends. Many, many Sunday mornings growing up, my Dad would say, let's go to Columbia. He would call and he and Uncle Bob would wager on how long it take us to get there. Speed limit was 70 back then on all roads but we exceeded that most of the time! Once there, Diana and I always had a wonderful time together. I was always sad to go home. Although we didn't spend much time together as adults, she holds a very special place in my heart.
I remember many summer days at your house. We had a lot of fun adventures. You were silly loving caring and young at heart. You will be missed in my heart and the memories will be with me forever. Rest in peace love you Justlin
The memories are flooding my mind and I just had to share what's on my mind this morning. While many may be angry about cancer and how it ravaged her physical body, I want you to know that cancer also gave Mom a heightened appreciation for ALL of God's creation and it made her very aware of the value of HER life. Mom loved from the depths of her soul. She studied the Bible and had a strong desire to share the word of God with her loved ones. Mom enjoyed listening to and singing every genre of music and danced accordingly. Our "sleep"overs should be called "talk"overs because there was always more to share and simply never enough time. Mom enjoyed cooking wonderful food for others, interacting with children and being as silly as necessary to have fun with them. She has literally given me the shirt off of her back because I made the mistake of telling her that I liked it. In her honor I will make every effort to ensure that her life will continue to be celebrated and her love will live on.
